The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) categorizes language proficiency into six levels. The C1 and C2 are the highest two language assessment qualifications offered by ESOL International. These advanced CEFR levels are crucial benchmarks for educational institutions, employers, and learners themselves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Both C1 and C2 courses provide a comprehensive approach to learning English, focusing on the four key language skills: reading, writing, listening, and speaking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Exam format of the four papers as follows:
Paper 1 – Reading and Use of English
Paper 2 – Writing
Paper 3 – Listening
Paper 4 – Speaking<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From O\u2019level English students who have attained a B or C can do C1 course. C2 is offered to students who have attained an A or A<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cambridge International AS & A Level Literature in English will provide learners with the opportunity to gain further knowledge and understanding of international poetry, prose and drama, with students studying all genres at both levels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A wide range of inspiring set texts have been carefully selected to offer a depth and breadth of literary study and to encourage lively and stimulating classroom discussion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At AS Level learners will study three set texts and prepare for one unseen text.
At A Level they will study four further set texts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Throughout the AS and A Level course learners will be encouraged to practise their skills in close reading through the study of literary extracts and unseen texts; developing skills of analysis and interpretation of texts,alongside their expression of personal response to the texts studied.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These are highly transferable skills and can help learners in other subject areas, as well as equipping them for higher education and\/or employment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cambridge IGCSE English as a Second Language is for learners who already have a working knowledge of the language. It is suitable for learners whose first language is not English, but who study through the English-medium.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
